Mobile Age presented at the European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels, October 2018
- Created: 26 October 2018
On October 9th, Mobile Age had the opportunity to present tips during the European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels. The four-day event was attended by around 6000 participants and 600 speakers from all over Europe.
Mobile Age was part of a session organised by the European Commission/REA on co-production and co-creation of digital services. The aim of the participatory session OpenGoV Co-production & Co-creation: Sharing experiences from Regions and Cities was to promote the uptake of Horizon 2020 projects results in the field of ICT enabled Open Government, both at regional and local level, by fostering peer learning and networking activities. Project partners discussed with the participants the experience with pilots using co-creation concepts across the EU. Questions will be debated and addressed by involved stakeholders, policy-makers, administrators, researchers and professionals. This created the context for inspired roundtable discussions among the participants on the future of co-creation. Together with two other EU projects, Dr. Juliane Jarke from ifib and Mobile Age representative, discussed the challenges and opportunities of co-creation approaches with around 80 participants. After a short introduction to the projects, they worked in three smaller, rotating working groups on the topics of sustainability, governance and citizen involvement.
A short video of the organizers about Mobile Age summarizes our results.
