The European Parliament publishes new briefing on the role of eGovernment in deepening the single market

The European Parliamentary Research Service recently published a briefing on the role of eGovernment in deepening the Single Market.

This briefing maps the current situation in terms of eGovernment deployment throughout Europe and lists the existing policy responses.

It also emphasizes on the role of cross-border and cross-sector use of electronic identification (eID) and trust services in advancing the digitalisation of public services in Europe as well as the potential impact of the implementation of the 'once-only' principle in public administrations.
