Exploring the district

By Silja Weisser, 10. July 2017, Stadtteil Kurier Südost

Hemelingen/Hastedt. Exploring the district with all its facets - this is the aim of the Mobile-Age project's exploration walks. In order to create a digital guide for senior citizens, fellow citizens are called upon to search together for information such as: Where are the nearest shopping and recreational facilities? How is the state of the roads? Are they accessible? And are there benches to linger on?

The next walk leads through the castle park. The tour starts on Tuesday, 19 September at 2 p. m. at the intersection of the bus stop Schlosspark. The cost of a snack with coffee and cake is a maximum of four euros.

For Thursday morning, 28 September, the Mobile Age team invites you to a cultural and historical walk in Arbergen. Meeting point is at 9.30 am at the entrance to Rottkuhle, leisure pool in the Arberger Heerstraße 37. After two/two and a half hours there are sandwiches in a café. Karin Schüdde accepts registrations for these two companies under telephone number 04 21/45 11 16.

A historic walk in Hastedt is scheduled for Tuesday 17 October. The group starts at 3 pm at the Alt-Hastedter Kirche, Bennigsenstraße 7. After one and a half/two hours, we will have lunch at the Paulaners am Weserwehr. Ulrike Gerhard accepts registrations for this under 04 21/21 85 65 65 72.
