Walking through the district

By Silja Weisser, -Kurier, 26.06.2017

A district guide by older adults and for older adults in Hemelingen is in the works. Support by familiar local residents for the project MobileAge is still needed.

Senior citizens are invited to participate in walkings to jointly talk about the places on the way and also to learn something new about their district. Anyone who likes can join for a lunch after the walk.

Together with Karin Schüdde from the local church three walking’s are planned. The distance is no longer than 2 Kilometres.

Start is on Friday the 30th June for a walk around the Hemelinger Bahnhofsstraße and the Tamra-Parc. Meeting point is the Christernstr. 6 at 9.30 am. Lunch is served afterwards for 5 euro in the Café Werner. On Tuesday the 15th August, the “Hasenpromenade” is the destination. This walk starts at 2 pm at the bus stop “Nauheimerstraße”, then there will be coffee afterwards. The third walk on Wednesday the 30th August at 11 am goes to the “Schlengenpark”, start is in the “Schlengstraße 2”.
